Football Italian, Serie A and La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Arsenal have been approached by Roma for Mauro Ibara.
The 26-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Rossoneri this summer but Arsenal are yet to announce their interest in the midfielder, who is still only contracted to the Rossonia.
Roma are currently third in Serie A with three points, but they have already lost the Italian title to Juventus.
With the likes of Alvaro Morata and Andrea Pirlo out of contract next summer, Arsenal could also be tempted to make a move for Ibara, who would be a cheaper alternative to Morata.
Arsenal are currently in the process of re-signing Nacho Monreal from Atletico Madrid, who has impressed at the Stadio Olimpico and is now valued at €40m.
